Middle School Valentine Writing Prompts

1. Valentines Day Letter Prompt

Think of a person who is important in your life but who doesn't know it, or who hasn't heard it enough. This can be a family member, friend, boy/girlfriend, teacher, mentor, etc. Write them a letter telling them how much they mean to you and why. Sign it or leave it blank and give it to them on Valentine's Day.

2. Valentines Day Class Activity

This is an activity to do instead of Valentine's Day cards. Give each student cards with the names of every class member on them. (For example, if you have 26 students, then each student would get 25 cards bearing their classmates' names.) Have the students write down something that they like about the person on each of the cards. Pass the cards out at Valentine's Day.

3. Valentines Day Story Starter

Start a story with the following line: "If love is for fools, then that definitely makes Jesse Michelson the biggest moron of all time."
